Is writing down other's recordings into words a new work?

Transcription is an action of reproducing in the Copyright Act. If the other’s recording content is literary work or music work, only writing down the recordings is just an action of reproducing, unable to establish an independent work. If additionally modified when transcribing, able to establish new derivative works. Following the regulation of the Copyright Act, the derivative works are protected as independent works, therefore it will be protected by the Copyright Act. As for the original recording of literary work or music work will not be influenced but should be careful that the right of reproduction and adaptation exclusively belongs to the original author. If do not get the agreement before reproducing or adapting will infringe the copyright of the original work.
