校外志工服務要點 Guidelines for Off-Campus Volunteer Service

一、 宗旨

國立雲林科技大學圖書館招募校外志願工作人員(以下簡稱志工),目的在於廣納社會資源,藉由「服務學習」協助志工體驗社會服務之人生價值與終身學習之精神,進而協助圖書館各項業務推動,嘉惠讀者,發揚志願服務之美德。

二、 招募對象

(一)本校教職員工之眷屬。
(二)年滿16歲之校外熱心人士。

三、 申請與訓練方式

每年分二期服務時程招募

(一)每年統一於8月1日至8月31日公告召募,經面談錄取後,依各組業務需求安排職前講習與實務訓練。
(二)儲備志工得以隨時報名,經面談錄取後依選填服務項目參與培訓。

四、 最低工作時間

每星期最少2小時,或每期服務時程總服務時數最少30小時。職前訓練時數不列入服務時數計算。另,特殊專長服務之時數計算由各組依業務需求核定。

五、 服務工作內容

依各組業務性質之需求自行訂定志工工作項目與注意事項。

六、 督導方式

每名志工應接受負責指導館員之督導。

七、 考核方式

志工應填寫工作紀錄表以利考核參考,績優者予以獎勵。

八、 獎勵方式

(一)對績優且服務滿30小時者,本館發給志工服務證書以資鼓勵。
(二)對績優且服務滿120小時者,本館發給感謝狀以資鼓勵,並可免費辦理志工借書證乙張,可借書5冊,借期4週,借書證有效期限為自發證日起一年。
(三)優良志工 於年度感恩聯誼會議及圖書館電子報予以表揚。

九、 懲處罰則

(一)連續2個月或累計4個出勤日,無故不出勤者,予以除名。
(二)品行不端、行為不檢、破壞名譽不適任者,予以除名。
(三)無故不接受本館派任工作者,予以除名。

十、 聯繫

志工離職後得應邀回館參與圖書館舉辦的相關活動,及接收由本館定期發送之『圖書館電子報』。

十一、 附則

(一)本館校外志工均為無給職。
(二)本館得為志工投保團體意外保險以維護保障服務期間之安全。
(三)本辦法提經圖書館館務會議通過,陳請 館長核定後實施,修正時亦同。

1. Purpose
(1) The NYUST Library recruits off-campus volunteers to actively incorporate social resources.
(2) Through service learning, volunteers are encouraged to experience the value of social contribution and lifelong learning.
(3) Volunteers assist in various library operations, benefit readers, and promote the spirit and virtue of volunteerism.

2. Eligibility
(1) Family members of NYUST faculty or staff.
(2) Off-campus individuals aged 16 or above with a passion for service.

3. Application and Training
(1) Volunteers are recruited in two sessions annually.
(2) Recruitment announcements are made from August 1 to August 31 each year. Applicants who pass the interview will attend orientation and practical training based on departmental needs.
(3) Reserve volunteers may apply at any time. After passing the interview, they will receive training according to their selected service areas.

4. Minimum Working Hours
(1) Volunteers must serve at least 2 hours per week, or at least 30 hours in total per service session.
(2) Pre-service training hours are not included in the total service hours.
(3) For volunteers providing services with special expertise, their service hours will be verified based on departmental needs.

5. Service Duties
(1) Each department will define its own volunteer assignments and important service notes based on its operational characteristics.

6. Supervision
(1) Every volunteer will be supervised by a designated library staff member.

7. Evaluation
(1) Volunteers must complete a work log for performance evaluation.
(2) Outstanding volunteers will receive recognition.

8. Rewards
(1) Volunteers who perform well and serve for at least 30 hours will receive a Certificate of Volunteer Service.
(2) Volunteers who serve for at least 120 hours and have excellent performance will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and be eligible for a free Volunteer Library Card, which allows the borrowing of 5 books for 4 weeks. The card is valid for one year from the issue date.
(3) Outstanding volunteers will be publicly recognized at the annual appreciation gathering and in the library's e-newsletter.

9. Disciplinary Actions
(1) Volunteers who are absent without cause for 2 consecutive months or a total of 4 service days will be dismissed.
(2) Volunteers with inappropriate behavior, unethical conduct, or actions damaging to the library's reputation will be dismissed.
(3) Volunteers who refuse to perform assigned tasks without valid reasons will be dismissed.

10. Communication
(1) Volunteers who resign may still be invited to participate in library events.
(2) Resigned volunteers will continue receiving the library's e-newsletter.

11. Supplementary Provisions
(1) Off-campus volunteers are unpaid.
(2) The library may purchase group accident insurance for volunteers to ensure safety during the service period.
(3) These guidelines take effect upon approval by the Library Affairs Committee and confirmation by the Library Director. Any amendments follow the same procedure.
